Our Story
I'm Katelyn, the proud owner and sole operator of Thorn & Raven Candle Co. My roots lie in a lovely farming and ranching community in rural Nevada. After returning to this small town with my husband, I started working as a veterinary assistant in the family business—a job I truly adored. However, the high-stress environment eventually took its toll, leaving me feeling drained and burned out.
Seeking a healthier balance for my mental and physical well-being, I scoured various avenues for a new passion. One fateful day, a friend received a candle I had personally crafted for her birthday. She suggested I consider starting my own candle business. Thorn & Raven officially came to life in January 2023, emerging from years of creating these products solely for myself, friends, and family.
Most of our candles are housed in reclaimed glass containers, offering not just an environmentally conscious choice but also a distinct and unique piece for your home. Additionally, to promote recycling and breathe new life into our products, all candle, body butter, and bath salt containers can be refilled after your initial purchase at a 10% discount from the original price.
